Autumn/Thanksgiving/Fall Centerpiece Vignette

 Creating A Multi-Purpose Fall Vignette

I decided to play around today creating a centerpiece for Fall. I like to simply use objects that I already have on hand around the house and see what I can come up with. I gathered several items and had a fun few minutes arranging and rearranging them and I think I created a vignette that could easily slide from Fall right on into Thanksgiving.

I borrowed some pumpkins that I was displaying in other places and found an orange charger that I had tucked away in a cabinet. I scoured through my candles and found a glass votive cinnamon scented candle and a couple other candles that I thought would work well together. And there is a little egg that has beautiful tans and blues all swirled together that I added to the mix.

The colors represented here are mostly earthtone/Fall colors that compliment each other with a touch of blue in the candle and the egg to pull it all together. With vignettes like this,
I try to vary heights for interest. By the way, the candle holder holding the blue candle is actually a vase but it works beautifully I think!

Are you creating any vignettes or centerpieces for Fall? Getting ready for Thanksgiving? If you're like me, you can't believe that November is just a few days away and the holidays will be upon us before we know it! Whatever you are doing, I hope you are enjoying some fun, creative and beautiful days.

Until Next Time,
Debbie

  1. Very pretty arrangement. Reminds me of a still life that an artist might create for painting purposes. I like the varied heights and colors of the pieces, and that navy candle is a nice, kind of unexpected color. So glad that fall no longer just means gold and brown.

I have set our table for Thanksgiving already!! Ha!! Even with kitty fur flying about our house with great abandon. I used chargers, dinner plates from the closest thing we have to china, and paper dessert plates. We are going out of town for 10 days, and I am worried our kitties may rearrange things on the table before we get home. But nothing I can't fix.

  2. Thank you, Leslie. It does resemble a still life. I think it's fun to just try things and see what works. I have kitty fur at my house too so no worries about your Thanksgiving table! It sounds beautiful. I hope you have a good and worry free trip!

  3. I like how you brought together individual items resulting in a lovely vignette that will indeed lead right into later fall and Thanksgiving. It's amazing that you used a vase as a candle holder; it works perfectly. I have a small vase that has a similar shape, so now I'm going to try this same creative use for my vase.

  4. Thank you, Sharon. Let me know how your small vase works as a candle holder. It's so exciting to use items we own in many different ways!

  5. Love your arrangement - it has fall and Thanksgiving written on it. I've drug out some old pieces and scattered them around. Been so much going on in my world I haven't had time to think about Thanksgiving. I cannot believe it's almost November.
