Tabletop Christmas Tree Decor

 Happy and Fun Christmas Trees

Hi everyone!  It's beginning to look even more like Christmas at our house with tabletop Christmas trees being decorated. I purchased a few new ornaments for this year so you might spy something you haven't seen before.

I had a bit of a larger tree planned for the table this year but I suddenly got the urge to keep it to white lights only. So, out came the smaller tree and I had such fun decorating it with fun ornaments like ribbon candy trees, snowmen and adorable little mice. Red is the color theme this year and of course the tree just had to be topped with a Christmas bear! And more on that jazzy, trumpet playing Santa Claus to come later.

Here is the tree all aglow.  I decided to use a lace table runner to surround the tree for now. I may change it out for something more Christmasy later. But, I do think the lace is pretty, don't you?

Another little tree adorns our side table. It is covered in clear snowflakes and miniature red balls. Little Santa cats act as a candle wreath around our flameless candle.

On the lower shelf nestled among family photos is the red Christmas ball tree. Another bold pop of red!

And on the infamous foyer table is a new little tree with some new little critters underneath. What I love about this Christmas display is that The Mr. helped picked them out. He isn't always interested in Christmas decorating so this makes it extra special! The little bear and squirrel certainly speak to our back porch visitors and, of course, they are wearing red!

Now I just need to figure out what to put into my Farmhouse metal bucket that will be Christmasy. Any ideas readers? Be sure to leave them in the comments. Are you decorating big tree or little trees this Christmas? What is your color theme? Can't wait to hear! I hope you enjoy my very simple Christmas decorating. I know it's not instagram worthy but it makes us happy!

Until Next Time,

Debbie

What pretty trees, and a great idea to have them throughout the house! I love how you used the lace under the first tree shown. That looks like a Victorian Christmas, especially decorated with candy! I was really drawn to the tree made of red balls. It is so simple, yet shines so brightly and just says "Christmas!" Your Christmas critters are adorable, and so appropriate for where you live! Things have kind of been crazy for me with the house and I'm behind on everything related to Christmas...usually have all my cookie dough frozen by this time and I haven't prepared even one batch...no decorating yet...but I'm giving myself some grace because the house projects have been occupying literally all of my time. This year is going to be pared down, but that's okay! I hope you keep sharing pictures of your home because I love to see the things you come up with!

Your post starts my day off just right with a cheeriness and joy for the upcoming holidays! I always enjoy seeing how you have decorated for different seasons. I like all your critters and the trees that bring such light and coziness, but I especially like that trumpet-playing Santa. Now you just need to find a Mrs. Santa that plays a flute or violin! What to put in the metal bucket? A Christmas quilt, of course!!

Thanks, Karen, and I'm glad you like the lace around the tree. It does give a Victorian vibe to the look. I first fell in love with tabletop trees when I visited the Smith-McDowell house here in Asheville. It was decorated for Christmas with tabletop trees throughout the house and of course they had real candles rather than lights on them. I just thought they were so very pretty! Those trees inspired me to try my own. I'm glad you are giving yourself grace to not feel rushed for Christmas decorating or baking. It's perfectly fine. You are doing great things in your home with all of your projects. If you choose to decorate or to bake, just do what you feel like and enjoy it! Have a great week.

Thank you, Sharon, for your sweet comments. I'm glad the post started your day off on a cheery note! It would be fun to find a musical Mrs. Santa. I'll have to keep my eyes open for one! That's a great idea to put a Christmas quilt in the metal bucket! I'll look around the house for something that will work.

I continue to follow tradition, waiting until after Thanksgiving to put up my decor, lol. I usually follow a vintage theme and mainly use thing I already have with a few new thrown in. I enjoy your decor, as long as I makes your family happy its all that matters.

Love your little trees. I've done that before and may do it to some extent this year. Not sure how the cats would do with the table top ones. I do have an 'elephant tree' each year. Since I collect elephants I have a gazillion elephant ornaments, so...
