Decorating for St. Patrick's Day
I'm dressing the house in a bit of green this week in anticipation of St. Patrick's Day on Saturday. Luckily, this isn't terribly hard to do since we have quite a bit of green throughout our house anyway. I did add a few touches specific to the special day.
St. Patrick's Day Decor
I created an arrangement in green using silk shamrocks, ferns and green/white ball picks. Some green fabric placed strategically inside the clear square vase adds yet another touch of green while also covering up the wire picks.
St. Patrick's Day Tablescape
The finished tablescape incorporates the green Blenko vases already on display as well as the little green leaf imprint bowl that I made with my own two little hands at a clay bowl making get together. I also enjoy seeing the green outside the window blending with the green inside our home. More snow is called for this week, but that's March, isn't it? Just like me, March is "a little bit of this and that!" How are you getting ready for St. Patrick's Day?
Until Next Time,
Marilyn's Treats (Over the Moon, Wonderful Wednesday, Thursday Favorite Things)
Green is one of my favorite colors, so it was fun to see how you're using green in your home for St. Patrick's Day.
Green is one of my favorite colors, too. Blue comes first, though! (wink)
I love how you always fix up your home for the seasons and the holidays Debbie! You are such an inspiration to add a little fun to life! That clay bowl class sounds like a lot of fun, I'd love something like that! The green outside your window made me sigh...I just am so anxious for spring, but here in Ohio it's still very much winter. I see green things poking up in the yard (okay, some are weeds but I'm talking about tulip and daffodil greens!)and it gives me hope that spring will truly come! The green in your home is uplifting! I'll have to scout around for some green things. For me, since we truly do have Irish heritage, I always make colcannon (serious comfort food) and Irish soda bread. It's a treat! Happy St. Pat's Day Debbie!
I enjoy doing little decorations for the holidays, Karen. It cheers me up when it is dreary outside like it is here today. I hope you see more signs of spring in Ohio soon! We are under a winter weather advisory today. I'll have to look up colcannon online. I'm not sure what that is. That soda bread sounds great! I have Irish heritage, also. Have a great day!!
