Match Made In Seven: What I Would Wear To Host A Holiday Party

Casual Wear For Hosting A Party

Hello everyone! It's time for another edition of Match Made in Seven and this month's theme is lots of fun! For those who are new, here is a reminder of who we are.

We are an international group of fashion bloggers who meet once a month. One of us chooses a theme in turn, and that can be anything. A book, music, a color, a movie. And then we style an outfit based on that theme. The theme of this month is chosen by Anna and is: What We Would Wear To Host A Holiday Party! Also, take a look at the other bloggers and how they have interpreted the theme this month.

Read on for my interpretation of this month's theme.

To be honest, I'm not much of a party giver but, if I did give a holiday party, I would definitely keep it casual and simple. Like the bright red top I'm wearing here with nice jeans.

A solid red top is easy to dress up with a long pearl necklace. And adding a pair of dressier shoes gives a fancy lift to jeans.

These shoes were a pure splurge but I love them! The block heel is pretty comfortable and the plaid is lovely for Christmas (or any time!!).

Now, be sure to check out how the other lovely ladies are dressing to host a holiday party!

Until Next Time,
Debbie

Debbie, you look adorable and COMFY in your festive red sweater and jeans. And those plaid pumps are SO CUTE!!!

I'm with you, not much of an entertainer. I used to be, a lifetime ago, when I was married. I always wanted to do the holidays at our house and I loved collecting interesting serving pieces and having a theme for EVERYTHING. But now I'm just tired, ha.

Hope you have a nice Thanksgiving.

I agree with you that casual is the way to go. I think your red sweater is very festive, and those shoes are so cute! I love the plaid.

Those shoes!!!!! Oh boy do I want some plaid shoes now!!! The only entertaining I do these days is family, so it's very casual! A red sweater and nice jeans is the first thing I'd reach for too, but I have to say Debbie, I'm going to get a pair of plaid shoes to up my holiday looks this year! I have a few things to attend and those are so fabulous to add some real flair to holiday basics!!
