A Snowy Day

 Snowy Day In My Backyard

Hi everyone! It's a snowy day in my backyard today. Overnight Snowstorm Izzy came through and the white stuff has continued to fall throughout the day. We probably have around 7 inches on the ground right now. We've also had some sleet throughout the day. This was our backyard early this morning.

And this was our front yard earlier today. It is all so very pretty. Days like this can make me feel kind of antsy. I don't like the feeling of being "snowed in" although I'm sure we could get out if we really had to. But, these type days are also great reminders to just hunker down and enjoy doing nothing. Read a good book, watch Hallmark and write a blog post! So far, we have been lucky in that we have kept power. Here's hoping we continue to keep power!

How do you spend snow days at your house? Would love to hear all about it!

Until Next Time,
Debbie

How beautiful it is at your house in the snow! I spent my snowy day in my sewing room, and I'll probably do that again today since I'm trying to finish a project. Just like you, I feel fortunate to have kept power so far.

We had lots of snow here too. I have been reading and enjoying the fact that I can't get out to go anywhere! The plow just arrived where I'm living. It's been a wonderful, relaxing day and I'm grateful for times like this! Your yard looks lovely!

Hope you have enjoyed a happy day of reading and relaxing, Karen. I agree that days like this are great for just those things!

I admit snow is beautiful. Two weeks ago my area was hit by a fast falling, wet snow that measured up to 12ins or more in some areas. My home was without power for 3 days 45 in my house on the 3rd day. It was my first experience in my adult life to be without power in the winter that long and one I don't care to repeat. I'm very thankful to the the good Lord that we did okay.

I just looked at your blog and saw that you have changed the header and the background color, etc. It's just lovely, and the color is perfect for a winter day. It's so cheery and upbeat!

Oh Ruth, I'm so sorry you were without power for over three days! I would not have been a happy camper at all. Pretty as snow is, I don't like losing power and I'm already looking forward to Spring. How about you?

Thanks, Sharon. I'm glad you like the new header and background color. I like changing things up every once in awhile! Thanks for noticing!
